The Dialogue of Nature
Nature has always held a profound fascination for me; the impulse to translate its essence onto the canvas is an undeniable force. When I look into the wild thicket, at a single petal, or the raw earth, I am not merely observing—I am engaging in a silent dialogue with Creation. It is a spiritual guidance that leads my hand toward specific colors, lines, and textures. This process is an awakening, and I feel a deep-seated need to share this vision with the observer—to spark curiosity and invite a new perspective on the world that surrounds us.
The Alchemy of Layers
My choice of oil and acrylic is deliberate and essential to my practice. These mediums allow for a meticulous, rhythmic process where layers are built slowly, mirroring the patient evolution of nature itself. Each work begins with the foundation of the earth—rocks, soil, and vegetation—layered until a final, delicate line emerges. Like a silken thread, this final touch binds the composition together, granting the piece its strength and intrigue.
From Lens to Canvas
My creative journey begins outdoors. I document the shifting seasons and the transforming earth through photography, capturing a visceral internal need to freeze a moment in time. While some paintings stay true to the photograph, others evolve from a single shadow or a fleeting hue, transforming a memory into a tangible atmosphere. I paint the season I am within, allowing my work to breathe in sync with the natural world.
The Pursuit of Inner Truth
With every new piece, I find myself closer to my inner truth. While I walk with confidence in my established style, my spirit remains that of an explorer—forever questioning, dreaming, and seeking the next story to tell. I strive for each work to be powerful, evocative, and deeply emotional.
A Season of Resilience
Currently, I am immersed in several parallel projects, fueled by an ever-present inspiration. As autumn fades into a lush, vibrant winter, the urgency to create is peak. Despite the profound human hardships of this period, nature persists. It serves as a majestic reminder that everything is cyclical, temporary, and destined to return. This realization is a force stronger than me—it is the very breath of my art.
